David has responsibility for Scientific-Atlanta's IP Video consumer premises equipment, including IP set-tops, multistream home gateways and home networking equipment. These products support personal video via DVR, networked DVR and whole-home networked products. He has been with Scientific Atlanta for over 15 years, and has held positions including Director of Subscriber Products for Europe, Marketing and Business Development Director for Digital Encoders and Satellite receivers, and Director of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Mr Alsobrook has spoken at a number of industry conferences including IBC, NAB, and NCTA. Prior to joining Scientific-Atlanta, he started his career with Ernst and Young.

Jay is responsible for driving the company's global strategic marketing efforts focusing on broadband service delivery. Prior to joining Alcatel, he held key management positions at Lucent, Paradyne, Racal Data Communications and Westell Technologies. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Mr. Fausch is a DSL Forum Ambassador and is Chairman of the DSL Forum's Marketing Committee. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Fiber to the Home Council. Mr. Fausch received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an acknowledged expert on the wireline broadband access market and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

 

Matthew Goldman

Matthew has been actively involved in the development of DTV systems since 1992. He was a prominent participant in the Moving Picture Experts Group where he helped create the MPEG-2 Systems standard, the baseline transport technology used in direct broadcast satellite, digital cable, terrestrial broadcasting and DVD-video. Mr. Goldman served as project editor for the MPEG-2 DSM-CC standard, the control signaling used in video-on-demand systems and for DTV data downloads and carousels. Committed to improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee DTV standards, he was a co-developer of the Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) standard, which is used by DTV receivers to navigate and tune to broadcast DTV services. Mr. Goldman also has been influential in other industry organizations including the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, and the Consumer Electronics Association. Recent stints have included the standardization of MPEG-4 AVC and SMPTE VC-1 video codecs.

He also brings a wealth of broadband experience to the Broadband Services Forum, for which he serves on the Board of Directors and as the Vice President of Marketing. With Nortel, Mr. Marnik launched the industry's first Optical Ethernet solution, introduced Nortel's Ethernet switching portfolio to the service provider market and developed the enterprise market for broadband IP services. Paul McCormick

Paul is responsible for defining the strategy, partnership development and design of set-top box products for IPTV service providers that supports the delivery of triple-play services to the home. Previously, he was the Director of STB Business Development for KiSS Technology, until the company was acquired by Cisco Systems in September 2005. Linksys provides a full range of home networking product solutions for distribution of triple-play services to and around the home, such as broadband modems, routers, residential gateways and voice over IP phone systems. With the recent addition of IPTV STB solutions, Linksys now supplies service providers with products and systems expertise to deliver all forms of triple-play content and services in and around the home. Mr. McCormick has more than eight years experience with TV service providers, Telcos, equipment manufacturers, software providers and silicon technologies.

Adam Powers

Adam is Chief Technology Officer of Coaxsys, which makes high-speed IP networking equipment that enables IPTV and multimedia networking over a home’s existing coax. Dan York

He was recently Senior Vice President of Programming and Development at iN Demand Networks for several years. Mr. York oversaw all programming, content acquisition, program planning, scheduling and distribution to other platforms. This included over 70 linear channels of high def, pay-per-view, out-of-market professional and college sports packages, and more VOD content than any other entity.
