Prior to Hillcrest, he was a senior vice president at Comcast, responsible for marketing and new products. While there Mr. Addis played a lead role in new product strategy as well as development, deployment and marketing for Comcast's most innovative video products, including video-on-demand (VOD), high definition television (HDTV), and digital video recorders (DVRs). He has been recognized numerous times in his career for leadership and innovation, including CableFax's "100 Most Influential People (2004)," Cable and Telecommunications Marketing Association's TAMI Award (2003), and Advertising Age's "Top 100 Marketers (1991)."


Joseph Ambeault

Joseph’s primary focus is the advancement of Verizon’s television and platforms, including on-demand, interactive television, digital adve rtising delivery, video games and interactive program guides. He had addressed audiences at conferences hosted by CES, NATAS, Digital Hollywood, NCTA, SCTE, CCMI and the Korean Cable Television Association on topics ranging from time-shifted television to video-on-demand deployment and revenue assurance. Mr. Ambeault also has several articles and commentaries published in television and adve rtising trade publications throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Verizon, he was a director of Broadband Systems for SeaChange International. Mr. Ambeault received a BA in philosophy and computer science from Brandeis University.


Guy Cherry

Guy obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. His early work focused on a number of object-oriented programming languages such as Smalltalk and various flavors of lisp. This led to work on C++, specifically in the area of embedded systems. In 1990 Dr. Cherry began working with digital video in the Computer Research Labs at Tektronix Incorporated and developed some of the first video networking and storage systems using ATM and motion-JPEG. He served on the ISO MPEG Committee from 1993 to 1996 and currently contributes to the SCTE DVS committees. Dr. Cherry joined C-COR in 2000 and is currently a C-COR Principal Architect for Video Systems.

Prior to Myrio, Mr. Betz was the Senior Product Manager behind Thomson's IP set top boxes in the Americas and Europe. There, he was responsible for the introduction and business development of five generations of IPTV decoders, some with integrated gateway and home networking capabilities, advanced codecs and several middleware environments. Mr. Betz is committed to policies that attract the best STB makers in the industry to innovate, compete and add value to Siemens overall offerings.


 

Patrick Bradley

Patrick co-founded Ripe Digital Entertainment in 2003 and is a member of the Board of Directors. He was instrumental in developing the company's distribution partnership with the nation's largest cable company, Comcast Corporation, other major MSOs as well as broadband and mobile partners. Working as a leader in executive media sales for RDE, Mr. Bradley has developed relationships with top brands, leading media agencies and other important partner companies in the advertising and media industries. He was also a co-founder of interactive services company Zentropy (now a part of IPG's McCann / MRM), a true web start-up that achieved substantial annual growth (from $5 million to $100 million in revenues in just over four years). Mr. Bradley was instrumental in positioning the company for sale in 1999 to IPG. An active member of the National Television Academy, he has spoken at numerous interactive and media industry conferences and panels. Mr. Bradley also serves as an executive director for The Facing Forward Foundation benefiting underprivileged children with severe facial deformities.



Taras Bugir

He has also served as a CIO for a major global agency network. Mr. Bugir has worked with media buying groups, ad agencies and broadcasters in more than 24 countries on five continents. Chris Carvalho

Chris works closely with all of the company's divisions and the Marketing and Licensing departments identifying both outside and internally developed technology opportunities, developing new business leveraging the Lucasfilm intellectual property, crafting and refining strategic plans, and on more tactical, near term issues. He is also heavily involved with THX -- helping set and execute strategy and goals. Mr. Carvalho leads the company's business analysis of new technology and digital media - wireless, internet, digital cinema, video on demand, visual effects and animation software, among others. He has identified all the major business partnerships associated with Lucas Online, including ones with Yahoo, Apple, AOL, Variety, and Atom Entertainment. For the Online division, Mr. Carvalho has been the driving force behind creating new features that deliver additional content and revenue, including the first movie property ever to have an internet subscription service (Hyperspace). He also forged the first company deals in the mobile and video download space.

 


Stephen Condon

Stephen brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to Entriq from the advertising and technology industries. His primary role as Vice President, Marketing, is to clearly position the company in the pay media marketplace. Mr. Condon's responsibilities include strategic marketing, marketing communications as well as developing the company's advertising, public relations and trade show strategy. He commenced his career in advertising working for J. Walter Thompson and Chiat/Day on leading brands such as Kraft Foods and NutraSweet. His advertising career introduced him to the high technology entertainment business when he worked on the hugely successful launch of DIRECTV at the advertising agency, Campbell-Ewald. Mr. Condon later joined DIRECTV, as Senior Director of Marketing and was responsible for program marketing and subscriber acquisition promotions. In 1998 he moved from delivering video over satellite to delivering video on the Internet and joined INTERVU as Vice President of Marketing where he lead strategic marketing efforts and marketing communications up until the Akamai acquisition.

Thierry Fautier

Before joining Hitachi, he served as a decorated communications engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force responsible for network design and implementation of various secure telecom and packet data networks including ARPAnet/MILnet. Mr. Foote received a B.S.E.E. from Georgia Tech and a Master’s degree in Management from Webster University/Air Force Institute of Technology.

Ed rejoined ICTV in 2006 with the goal of combining the choice and control of the Internet with the responsiveness and video quality of television. He returned to the company after co-founding and serving as Chiefv Executive Officer of Switched Media, a developer of solutions for mass customization of live video streams that merged with ICTV. In his previous stint with ICTV, from 2001-04, Mr. Forman served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and in an executive consulting capacity and was instrumental in launching the company's HeadendWare product. Ken produced the Video Solutions for Independence interactive CD-ROM, edited and produced interactive CD-ROMs for organizations such as NTCA and is the co-producer of the IP Video Conference series in conjunction with USTA and is producer of Viodi's Local Content Workshop. Additionally, he has been intimately involved with all of Viodi's clients. Mr. Pyle created Digital Rights Management Reports that were approved by studios for several clients. He created processes for clients to use for their PPV and VOD operations. Mr. Pyle has long standing relationships with service vendors such as Technicolor and Microspace, as well as many telecommunication manufacturers. Prior to Viodi, LLC, he was Director of Technical Sales for Demand Video, a Video On Demand application service provider which targeted cable television overbuilders. Mr. Pyle's independent telco experience dates to 1991 with product, project and sales management roles at Raynet and E/O Networks. His experience in the cable industry dates to 1979 with manufacturing, engineering and field service roles at companies such as Catel and C-Cor.

Tom was the founder of Gyration and previously held the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer positions prior to Thomson acquiring Gyration in August 2004. During his tenure at Gyration Mr. Quinn was granted multiple application patents covering the use of embodied inertia sensors to translate hand movement into computer generated graphical movement, which he considers a critical human interface for digital TV convergence. He began his career at Philips Semiconductors in 1996, as a marketing manager in the sales organization for TV products based in London U.K. In 1997 Mr. Samuel moved to Nijmegen, The Netherlands as the international product marketing manager for Philips' ultimate one chip (UOC) analog TV solution. In 1999 he moved to the U.S. to lead the marketing team for HDTV and STB businesses in Silicon Valley. Following a year leading the DTV business development group in Singapore, Mr. Samuel returned to Silicon Valley to the strategy office in 2004 before assuming his current position. Prior to joining Philips, he was a design project manager for Sony Europe. Mr. Samuel holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from WGIHE in Swansea, U.K.

Philip was Co-President, Universal Studios Television Distribution where he was responsible for the successful management of the global theatrical and television product distribution organization for Universal Studios, Inc. Mr. Schuman started at Universal as Vice President of Business Affairs in 1995. Previously, he was Senior Transactions Counsel, at a division of General Electric. Mr. Schuman began his career obtaining extensive relevant experience specializing in mergers and acquisitions and securities at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in American History from State University of New York at Buffalo, and J.D. from Emory University School of Law.


 

Brent Simon

Brent contributes to the development of Verizon's television platforms and software. He is focused on the company's advancements for on-demand applications and video games. The emergence of on-demand services and interactive games require the participation of a broad range of key participants including television and film studios, ad agencies, broadcasters and technology partners. Mr. Simon shares the experience of Verizon's research and development and deployment work with these audiences through his efforts for a number of industry organizations. His operations, business-oriented articles, white papers and commentaries have been published in television trade publications. Previously, Mr. Simon was Product Manager for SeaChange International's interactive television system. He started his career as a systems consultant for the Bank of Tokyo, one of the world's largest financial institutions.

Prior to joining Modulus Video, Rich co-founded and served as Vice President of Global Field Operations for Turin Networks, a leading provider of optical switching technology to the telecommunications industry.  During his tenure, Mr. Stanfield was instrumental in introducing the company to the market, securing venture capital and securing sales to major telecommunications companies throughout the world.  Prior to Turin , he served as Vice President of North American Sales for Advanced Fibre Communications, a manufacturer of access products for the communications industry. Mr. Stanfield holds a Bachelor of Science, Economics, from Texas A&M University.


 

Mark Weiss

Mark has more than twenty years experience in the cable and telecommunications industry. In his current role, he has responsibility for developing broadband solutions employing IBM's ecosystem of ISV partners. Mr. Weiss works with industry leading OSS/BSS and network equipment providers (NEP) in the crafting of end-to-end solutions around triple and quad play. He joined IBM through its acquisition of ROLM in 1986, at that time Mr. Weiss was managing a technical sales team that marketing and sold telecommunication ROLM's (and later IBM's) portfolio of telecommunications to large enterprises in the mid-west. Over the years he has held a variety of management and marketing roles within IBM, all focused in the telecommunications and networking areas.

Richard Yelen

Richard is responsible for identifying, evaluating and leading the emerging technology's revenue stream growth for the company's American IPTV initiatives. Prior to joining GlobeCast, he was Corporate Vice President of Video Marketing at Charter Communications. Responsible for the strategy of a $3.5 billion dollar revenue center, Mr. Yelen was accountable for video product marketing, management and new product development. He held a similar corporate role at Cox Communications where he was part of the original team that designed the nation's first "triple play" and led the development of the corporation's competitive strategy. Mr. Yelen has quite a bit of emerging platform experience including at ACTV as Chief Marketing Officer. There, he introduced targeted TV advertising into the US. Before pursuing marketing and business development, Richard held several operations and finance positions with NBC.


Dan York

Dan leads video content strategy and acquisition for AT&T Project Lightspeed. Project Lightspeed is the initiative to expand the fiber-optics network deeper into neighborhoods to deliver AT&T U-verseSM TV, voice and high-speed Internet access services. AT&T companies expect to reach approximately 18 million households by the end of 2008 as part of initial deployment, using fiber-to-the-node and fiber-to-the-premises technologies. Mr. York was recently Senior Vice President of Programming and Development at iN Demand Networks for several years. He oversaw all programming, content acquisition, program planning, scheduling and distribution to other platforms. This included over seventy linear channels of high def, pay-per-view, out-of-market professional and college sports packages, and more VOD content than any other entity. Mr. York was the first to program titles in high definition VOD, and has overseen many of the biggest events in TV history.
