In a different role, Mr. Burris leads the market development team for Sprint's CLEC business that was rolling out national telephony services. Before joining Sprint, he was a co-founder of Orbit Commerce, an eBusiness platform for the delivery of web-based applications to small and medium-sized businesses. The company had numerous Fortune 500 clients and in 2001 was sold to Digital River, a publicly-traded company. Mr. Burris also worked several years for Accenture where he was a member of a technology team that worked out of the Stanford Research Park in Palo Alto. Most of his clients were members of the telecommunications and Internet industries.
