Meredith Artley is the executive editor of latimes.com, a position she's held since March 2007. Before coming to the Los Angeles Times, Artley was based in Paris as the editor and director for IHT.com, the website of the International Herald Tribune. During her tenure the site saw a more than 200% increase in unique visitors. She led an expansion of the news cycle to 24/7, the development of innovative interactive features, and the launch of several editorial partnerships and various mobile platforms. Artley started her career at NYTimes.com in 1996, where she held various editorial positions over the course of six years there. As associate editor she managed the site's team of producers. She oversaw special projects, site redesigns and led coverage of 9/11. She was also part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team for the "Race in America" series in 2000. Artley graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Previously he was the Director New Media & Business Development, ZDFE for one of the biggest European TV Networks (ZDF, annual sales US$ 1,6 billion) and managed the production, co-production and distribution of content across multiple platforms. Prior to that Joerg worked for two other big Media Networks: the German Kirch Group (annual sales at that time US$ 1,8 billion) and CNN International. At CNN International Joerg was part of a small team that established the brand new German office where he handled the strategic planning and organization of all sales and marketing activities. At KirchSport he distributed sports TV and media rights into over 30 countries including USA, Canada, UK and Brazil.

Drew Baldwin is the co-founder of Tubefilter and Editor of Tubefilter News. He founded the International Academy of Web Television and is the creator and producer of the Streamy Awards, the first ever live-streamed awards show celebrating web television. Drew was recently appointed chair of the New Media Council of the Caucus for Directors, Writers, and Producers, and serves on the Interactive Media Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Drew is the award-winning creative director of Studio 8 Entertainment, which produces new media campaigns for major brands such as Nike, AT&T, and Intel, and runs the infamous monthly Hollywood Web Television Meetup. He has served as an advisor on the American Film Institute Digital Content Lab's design roundtable for ABC-Disney, was an editor of The Daily Reel, one of the first publications covering online video, and coordinated commercial and new media projects at the Los Angeles office of Paradigm Talent Agency.

Mitchell Berman’s 25 years of executive management and entrepreneurial leadership in multimedia entertainment and technology includes a combination of powerhouse television brands and rising television technology start-ups. Under his global leadership, Mitch has spearheaded the launch of consumer entertainment services spanning cable, DBS, IPTV, Broadband, P2P, VoIP, wireless, interactive television, video-on-demand (VOD) and digital advertising insertion. Prior to joining ZillionTV, Mitch was corporate vice president of global marketing for C-COR (acquired by ARRIS in December 2007; NASDAQ: ARRS), where he led the company’s successful repositioning and marketing strategy for its video-on-demand, digital advertising insertion, optical transport and operations support software products. Prior to C-COR, Mitch served as senior vice president of worldwide marketing and operations for interactive television middleware start-up OpenTV, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPTV), and helped the company navigate a highly successful IPO in 1999. His efforts have led to software deployments in more than 100 million digital set-top boxes in 96 countries to date, including BSKYB and DISH Network. Mitch also served as senior vice president of strategic business development at start-up Galaxy Media/East Coast Pay TV Ltd. (FOXTEL), Australia’s first and largest multi-channel pay TV network operator. In this position, Mitch launched: XYZ Entertainment, a television production company of four, 24-hour entertainment TV channels; and, sister company Satellite Music Australia, a digital satellite music service for businesses. Mitch also served as marketing director for the start-up of Sky Network Television New Zealand, New Zealand’s first and largest multi-channel pay TV network operator. Mitch honed his start-up skills as vice president of affiliate sales for then start-up E! Entertainment Television, and as regional manager of affiliate operations at Home Box Office, Inc. (HBO/Cinemax), where he was awarded the company’s highest distinction for “Marketing Excellence.” In all of these positions, Mitch successfully blended strategy with innovation to achieve increased market penetration that led to millions of new subscribers and multi-million dollar annual revenues.

Richard Bullwinkle joined Rovi Corporation, formerly Macrovision Solutions Corporation, in January 2007 after the company acquired Mediabolic, where he had served as vice president of Products and chief evangelist. Since that time Richard has served as Rovi’s chief evangelist responsible for corporate strategy. In his role, Richard helps define the direction of the company‘s products and technology solutions. He represents Rovi at numerous industry events to gather market perspectives and understand trends that have an impact on the company’s customers and the end consumer in order to provide recommendations to the senior team. He also works to establish standards and lead the discussions to promote a better consumer experience throughout the CE industry. With roles at Mediabolic, Rio Audio, and TiVo, Richard is well known in consumer electronics and entertainment industries. As vice president of products and chief evangelist at Mediabolic, Richard helped pioneer the connected home strategy of connecting entertainment media devices. As a senior member of Rio Audio's product marketing team, Richard played an instrumental part in the creation of some of the most popular MP3 players in the US. At Tivo, Richard was the company’s chief evangelist and a senior member of TiVo's product marketing team. He helped create and develop the TiVo products and was behind the campaign to make the TiVo product a household name. Richard graduated from Rollins College in Florida with degrees in English and Music.

Louis Castle is the co-founder of Westwood Studios and formerly the Vice President of Creative Development for EA’s Los Angeles Campus. He recently served as General Manager of Electronic Arts Blueprint Studio. As Blueprints’ General Manager, Castle was responsible for the production and business strategy of all titles produced by Blueprint which included Steven Spielberg’s BOOM BLOX, BOOM BLOX Bash Party and other collaborations with Spielberg and noted entertainment celebrities. Castle was the general manager of Westwood Studios from 2000-2003 and served in creative, business and finance roles while growing Westwood from two employees in 1985 to over 250 in 2002. In his creative roles, Castle has contributed as executive producer, creative director, technical director, programmer and artist to over 100 games created by Westwood and EA over the past 24 years including best selling original franchises such as Command & Conquer, Lands of Lore, Eye of the Beholder and Steven Spielberg’s BOOM BLOX as well as block buster licensed original products including The Lord of the Rings-The Battle for Middle earth II, The Lion King, Blade Runner and Monopoly.

In holiday '06, he oversaw the unique Xbox/Burger King promotion that featured three original Burger King-themed Xbox games. This out-of-the-box marketing program was widely acknowledged for its contribution in driving a phenomenal 40 percent increase in Burger King sales. These notable revenue results and innovative approach to marketing has resulted in several prestigious awards, including a "Gold CLIO" and the "Titanium Grand Prix" at the '07 Cannes International Ad Festival.

After first starting his professional life as a sports reporter with the Washington Post, Ron joined BusinessWeek’s Washington Bureau in 1979, where he initially covered federal energy policy. During the Reagan Administration, he became BusinessWeek’s White House and Congressional Reporter before moving to Los Angeles in 1986. In Los Angeles, Ron covers a wide range of media and entertainment issues, including Hollywood studios, television networks, online media, and moguls in general. He is also author of the 1991 book The Disney Touch, which chronicled Michael Eisner’s revival of the struggling entertainment empire. Ron lives in Altadena, Calif. with his wife, their dog and, when she will allow, their college age daughter.

Jordan Hoffner is the director of content partnerships at YouTube. He is responsible for establishing content partnerships across all content verticals, specifically focusing on the entertainment, sports, film, television and broadcast sectors.  
Jordan transferred to the YouTube team shortly after the company was acquired by Google to help drive new partnerships for the next generation video platform.  At Google, Jordan led the premium, archival and information video content efforts, focusing on cable television, music, and university videos. Prior to joining Google, Jordan was Vice President of NBC Universal Digital Studios and led the Digital Studios team in producing and acquiring original broadband content. Jordan began his career at NBC in 1992. During his tenure there, he served as a production assistant, producer, Director of NBC Corporate Development, Vice President and General Manager of NBC Weather Plus, and Vice President of Digital Programming and Operations.  
Jordan currently serves on the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Board of Directors. Jordan graduated cum laude from Vassar College in 1991 and earned his MBA in Finance at New York University's Stern School of Business in 2001.

Before joining the online games space, Min was an investment banking analyst in the media group of Salomon Smith Barney in New York. Yair Landau is the president and founder of Mass Animation, a new collaborative animation company producing crowdsourced entertainment. In its first project, launched last November, Mass Animation invited animators around the world to join together on Facebook to create an animated short film entitled Live Music - 58,000 + participants; 101 countries; and 51 finalists from 17 different countries. Slated for theatrical release this fall, Live Music is the result of the largest global animation collaboration ever. Landau is currently developing Mass Animation’s next generation of stories and applications for crowdsourced creativity. Prior to founding Mass Animation in August 2008, Yair was Vice Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and President of Sony Pictures Digital, which consisted of Sony Pictures Imageworks (visual effects), Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Online Entertainment (games). He supervised production of Imageworks' Academy Award® winning animated short, “THE CHUBBCHUBBS!” Landau also supervised production of Sony’s animated films “OPEN SEASON” and “SURF’S UP,” which was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature in 2007.

Soohoo joined CBS in 2007 with its acquisition of Dotspotter, one of the fastest growing community-powered entertainment properties on the web where he served as co-founder and CEO. Prior to founding Dotspotter, Anthony was Vice President and General Manager at Yahoo! responsible for the strategy, management, development and financial performance for various business units. Prior to Yahoo!, Anthony was COO of ALWAYSi, a user-generated video startup, leading the daily operations of the business, and shepherding the company towards a successful acquisition by Hollywood Media Corporation (NASDAQ: HOLL). Previously, Anthony held product and brand management positions at early web search company Inktomi and Apple. Director of the AFI Digital Content Lab, is a long-time technology strategist and innovator. From 1983 until 1994, she worked as a journalist, writing about digital issues for Macworld, PC World, Wired, and Rolling Stone. In 1995, Stefanac was founding editor of Macworld Online. In 1996, she was named an executive producer for MSNBC's THE SITE, an hour-long nightly program and companion website. In 1998, Stefanac co-founded RespondTV, an interactive television infrastructure company. In 2005, she authored “Dispatches from Blogistan: A Travel Guide for the Modern Blogger,” published by Peachpit/New Riders as part of their Voices That Matter series. Stefanac joined the AFI in 2006. She loves the bleeding edge.

Michael has been a professional business journalist for 25 years. He covered technology as a senior writer at Investor's Business Daily, and covered business and entertainment issues as a Los Angeles entertainment correspondent for Bloomberg News. He later covered broadcast networks as the Los Angeles Bureau Chief for Broadcasting and Cable, and spent four years as a correspondent for Wired.com, covering digital entertainment. Michael is now an independent journalist covering technology, entertainment and the wireless industry. He frequently moderates business forums on digital entertainment. His articles have appeared in the Sunday New York Times, Business 2.0, Always On Network and Red Herring. He received a BA in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley in 1981, and speaks fluent Mandarin, having lived in Taiwan for five years.

Chris Swain is a game designer, USC professor, and entrepreneur. As a researcher Chris strives to push conventional wisdom about what games are and can be. He is Director of the USC Games Institute – a collaboration between USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, Viterbi School of Engineering, and Annenberg School for Communications. He was a director of the Electronic Arts Game Innovation Lab at USC from 2004-2008. He has led cutting edge game research projects with benefactors that include National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Rockefeller Foundation, Annenberg Foundation, the US Army, the US National Counterterrorism Center and others. He has mentored hundreds of student games including three that have received publishing deals from major publishers. His students have gone on to leadership positions at all major game companies including Electronic Arts, Activision, Sony, and Microsoft. Prior to coming to USC, Swain designed games in industry for Microsoft, Sony, Disney, Activision, Acclaim, MTV, Warner Brothers, and many other companies. He was a founding member of the New York design firm R/GA Interactive. At R/GA he led over 100 projects for clients that include AOL, PBS, Intel, Children’s Television Workshop, and many others. Swain was a founding member of the venture funded game start-up Spiderdance, Inc. He served on the Board of Directors of the Emmy’s from 2000-2004 and he served on the Board of Advisors for the American Film Institute’s Enhanced Television Workshop from 1998-2002. His work has received many awards including Time magazine’s Best of the Web. He speaks regularly about games at universities and conferences around the world.
